The land is surrounded by the the sea and dominated by Europe’s highest active volcano Mt. Etna. The island has various characteristic micro climates, which results in a large variety of high quality extra virgin olive oils.

Generations of men and women have cultivated a large variety of olives respecting the uniqueness of the environment and ancient traditions. Nowadays the traditional methods of olive growing are combined with modern technology for pressing.

Country life in Sicily is our great passion. At Mazzacchino we have our own olive trees for our extra virgin olive oil, but besides our own production we yearly make a selection of the great local olive oils produced by small farmers to make them available to a wider public. We are convinced that many of the of small-scale producers in Sicily produce some of the best olive oils in the world with a distinctive mix of intense, fruity, rustic and elegant flavors. Mazzacchino is something different to the olive oils you find in the average supermarket.
