Mazzacchino extra virgin olive oil is produced on the slopes Mt Etna Volcano on the Mediterranean island of Sicily. The tradition of making olive oil in Sicily is thousands of years old and still alive.
Our olive oil is a blend of Nocellare Etnea and Brandofino which results in a very balanced taste. It is fruity and herbal and has a sense of wild broom and artichoke that stays long on the palate.
Mazzacchino extra virgin olive oil is at is best when used ‘raw’ or ‘crudo’ as we say in Italy. You can drizzle it over you salad, use it for dressings and sauces, over fish and meat or add some drops to your soups. The taste and smell of the oil will be even stronger when lightly warmed up.
But the olive oil can also be used for baking and roasts. Extra virgin olive oil is healthier than most other oils or butter.
Mazzachino is winner of the silver medal at the Masters of Olive Oil Contest in Sanremo 2020 and has been awarded the nomination of “high Quality Standard”, which places it among the best extra virgin olive oils (EVOO) in the world.
Our olive oil is 100% Italian:
Olio extra vergine d’oliva di categoria superiore, estratto a freddo, ottenuto direttamente dalle olive italiane e unicamente mediante procedimenti meccanici.
